I was riding along and the GPS told me to turn left across a canal. I didn't see a bridge anywhere, so I was a bit confused. After some studying I noticed both sides had a platform with a crank. [...]

Most of the bike paths were very scenic namely the river, canals, parks, small towns. The endless farmland today on the way to Gouda got old pretty quickly.

Wonderful four days cycling in Gelderland

It was a very easy to follow route with excellent maps. The distances were well judged and not over-demanding. A lot of the cycling was completely traffic-free and very peaceful which was a joy. [...]

We found Dutch people so warm and welcoming and it’s such a bike friendly country with wonderful infrastructure . It makes cycling a real pleasure . We enjoyed learning about the landscape and history and saw so much wildlife . [...]

We particularly loved the route on our last day when we had several miles through a forest of Scots Pine and open moors with heather which reminded us very much of Scotland. There were even some Highland cows on the path to make us feel completely at home!

The route on this tour is amazing. Beautiful canals, forests, and farm lands. Traveling through small villages that you would not otherwise see in route to beautiful old city’s with plenty to see. [...]

Route was excellent - we enjoyed the variety of the landscape and beautiful towns and villages we passed through. We took our own bikes and our boys 16 & 13 years LOVED it as much as we did!
